- Cassibelan_Burton abstract "Cassibelan Burton (1609–1682) was an English translator.Burton was the only son of William Burton, the historian of Leicestershire, by his wife Jane, daughter of Humfrey Adderley of Weddington, Warwickshire. He was born on 19 November 1609, but nothing is known of his education. He translated Martial into English verse, but the translation remained in manuscript.
