- Bruce_A._Reichman abstract "Bruce Reichman is an American soccer coach. Born to Irvin and Ruth Reichman, he was raised in Miami Beach, Florida, and graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso. Reichman has three children. He is a charter faculty member of Del Valle High School, where he has coached football from 1987–1994 and again in 2011. He has been the only men’s soccer coach at Del Valle since its inception in 1987 to the present. When he was hired as the soccer coach, he knew very little about the sport being from an American football background. Reichman quickly acclimated to soccer claiming he fell in love with the game because of the athleticism and the fast pace of the game. He has since gained local, state and national recognition for his accomplishments. Reichman is a board member with the Sun Bowl Association, and Chairman of the Sun Bowl Soccer Tournament. He was inducted into the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009, elected vice President of the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010, and then served two terms as President, 2012 and re-elected for the 2013 term. Coach Reichman was inducted into the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Organization Hall of Honor November 2012. In June 2012, Coach Reichman was named to ESPN’s list of most “winningest” High School Soccer Coaches in the United States.Reichman has earned numerous honors at Del Valle including Who's Who of American Teachers and the El Paso Times Coach of the Year in 1992, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2013. He is also the 2008 National Federation of High Schools State Coach of the Year and Sectional Coach of the Year as well as the 2008 UIL Texas State Coach of the Year. The Texas Association of Soccer Coaches named him “Coach of The Year” in 2012 and “Regional Coach of the Year in 2013. In 2013, he was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as the Coach of the Year for the State of Texas and small school National Coach of the Year. On August 13, 2013 and hereafter, The Mayor and City Council of El Paso proclaimed “Coach Bruce A. Reichman Day.\" On May 23, 2014 a documentary film entitled The El Paso Conquest was released highlighting Reichman's work with the Del Valle High School Soccer program. He claims that one of his biggest honors is to have two former players as his assistants Coach Oswaldo Vasquez and Alfredo Estrada who both played for him at the start of his career at Del Valle.Reichman has coached the Del Valle Men’s Soccer Team to 86 championship titles, five trips to the Final Four and two State Championships in 2005 and 2008. One Runner – Up in 2013 and two Bronze medals in 1999 and 2004, 15 District Championship Titles, 14 Bi-District Championship Titles, 16 Area Championship Titles, 13 Sectional Championship Titles, 10 Quarter Final Championship Titles, 8 Sweet 16 Championship Titles, 5 Elite 8 Championship Titles, and 5 Final Four Appearances.".
