The previous Bentworth Hall (or Bentworth Manor House), now called Hall Place, was built in the early 14th century and is a Grade II listed building 100m South of the village green. The present day Bentworth Hall is surrounded by woodland and was built in 1832. This was after Roger Staples Horman Fisher purchased the Bentworth Manor estate and built a new mansion about 0.8 miles (1.3 km) south of the previous Bentworth Hall.".
