Her photographs saved Fort Bragg from closure and she was the first woman in the National Guard. She named and created the Pepsi Cola logo for her neighbor Caleb Bradham who invented the drink. Anthony Lilly, a writer from Wootten's home town of New Bern North Carolina has written a feature script about Wootten's accomplishments. Lilly has obtained Wootten's first studio opened in 1904.
