- Alex_Ketzko abstract "Alexander Gregorieff Ketzko (November 19, 1919 – December 23, 1944) was an American football player. A native of Chicago, he moved with his family to Mattawan, Michigan as a boy. He played college football for Michigan State College (later known as Michigan State University) in 1938 and 1939. In July 1940, he signed to play professional football for the Paterson Panthers of the American Professional Football Association. He also played in the National Football League as a tackle for the Detroit Lions, appearing in nine games during his rookie year of 1943. After the 1943 season, he was inducted into the United States Army. He was killed in action in France in December 1944 at age 25.".
