It orbits the Sun at a distance of 1.9–2.6 AU once every 3 years and 5 months (1,235 days). Its orbit shows an eccentricity of 0.15 and is tilted by 7 degrees to the plane of the ecliptic. It has a rotation period of 6.1 hours and a geometric albedo of 0.14 to 0.46, according to the surveys carried out by the Infrared Astronomical Satellite, IRAS, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer and subsequent NEOWISE mission.The minor planet was named after Finnish violinist and composer of the late Romantic and early-modern periods, Jean Sibelius (1865–1957)."@en }
