The_Tonight_Show abstract "The Tonight Show is an American late-night talk show that has aired on NBC (National Broadcasting Company) since 1954. Again being broadcast from and recorded in the network's Rockefeller Center studios in New York City, it is the longest currently running, regularly scheduled entertainment program in the United States and the third-longest-running show on NBC after the Sunday morning political interview and talk show, Meet the Press and the equally long-running morning news and features program, Today. It is the longest-running talk show in television history, predating Ireland's The Late Late Show by eight years. The Tonight show has undergone some minor title changes, having aired and being referred to as Tonight for several of its early years, before later settling on The Tonight Show in 1962, with the seating of long-time host Johnny Carson.
