Following Symons' death in February 2009, Sheehan wrote and published an obituary in Xtra!Sheehan has worked as a literary critic, essayist, and biographer, publishing in Montage, POV, the National Post, Now, Toronto Life, Quill & Quire, Masthead and fab.".
