Other distinctions include membership in the Legion of Honour, the Croix de guerre, a Grand Officer in the French Order of Merit, and an Officer of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.The 1982 television program The Romantic Spirit, which aired in the U.S. on the A&E (TV channel) from 1985-1991, credits Brion as having "devised" the series.His son, Patrick Brion, critic and film historian, is the "voice" of Cinema midnight on France 3.".
