- Lee_Man-hee abstract "Lee Man-hee (Hangul: 이만희; Hanja/chinese character: 李萬熙; born September 15, 1931) is a world peace activist. He is a veteran of the Korean war where he served in a special forces unit and he is a community leader who pioneered the New Community Movement, which rejuvenated the post-war rural Korean economy through innovative village-centered strategies in Republic of Korea. He founded Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) and he is currently serving as chairman of this non-governmental and non-profit organization which transcends cultural differences, as well as differences in faith and religion to engage leaders from all sectors of society in effective and comprehensive solutions for peace. In this role as an international peace advocate, he has travelled the world many times meeting religious leaders, current and former heads of state, chief justices and politicians. Mr Lee has visited over 70 countries in this capacity to discuss the most sustainable and realistic solutions to end all wars, and establish world peace; gathering leaders signatures from all over the world to pledge their support for the enactment of international law for the cessation of war. These world trips culminated in hosting the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit that was held in Seoul, South Korea in September 2014. Mr Lee has since hosted the first African World Alliance of Religions’ Peace Summit in Pretoria, South Africa, in March 2015. He was awarded "Noble Man of the Year" at the We Care for Humanity's 3rd Global Officials of Dignity Awards which was held at UN Millennium Hotel in August, 2015.".
