- KSTE abstract "KSTE (650 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Rancho Cordova, California, USA, the station serves the Sacramento Valley. The station is currently owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and features programing from Cumulus Media Networks and Westwood One. The station has studios in North Sacramento near Arden Fair Mall, and its transmitter is southeast of the city in unincorporated Sacramento County. The station is programmed as a complement "second tier" talk station to its more dominant sister station KFBK. Personalities heard on KSTE include Armstrong & Getty, Dennis Miller, Jerry Doyle, Jim Bohannon and Imus in the Morning. Handel on the Law, The Kim Komando Show, John and Ken, Leo Laporte and Bill Cunningham are heard on weekends, along with other assorted replay and brokered programming. KSTE carried the talk shows of Dr. Laura Schlessinger from 1998-2011 and Sean Hannity from 1998-2010.Armstrong & Getty: Jack Armstrong and Joe Getty joined KSTE in 1998 and now have one of the highest rated morning radio shows in Northern California. They can also be heard on 910 AM (KKSF) San Francisco. In November 2007 the station fired long time Sacramento radio personality Phil Cowan making Armstrong and Getty the only live local weekday talkshow on KSTE.For a number of years, KSTE aired hourly CNN Radio newscasts from Westwood One (now Dial Global). On March 2, 2012, Dial Global announced they would discontinue distributing newscasts from CNN Radio and instead make NBC News Radio a full-time operation. CNN Radio affiliates would be switched to NBC on April 1, 2012. However, KSTE became an affiliate of the CBS Radio Network. The station only carries the 5-minute hourly newscasts and no other features from the network.KSTE also carries Sacramento River Cats baseball games.".
