She was serving as pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church (Ashtabula, OH) when she was called to become bishop of the Northeastern Ohio Synod.She attended the College of Wooster where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in music education in 1977 and then went to Harvard Divinity School where she earned a Master of Divinity degree.Eaton is married to the Rev.
