- Carthage_Film_Festival abstract "The Carthage Film Festival is a film festival hosted by the government of Tunisia to promote films from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Arab world. Taking place every two years, it alternates with the Carthage Theatre Festival.On a conception of the filmmaker Tahar Cheriaa, the festival was created in 1966 by the Tunisian Minister of Culture to showcase films from the Maghreb, Africa, and the Middle East.
