After graduating from Tbilisi State University, he became a Research Associate at the illustrious Moscow University, moved on to become an Associate and Full professor at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada), and at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he was named the H.Barton Excellence Professor and served as Head of the Mathematics Department.His career brought him to New York City, where he served as the Dean of Science & Technology at the City University of New York, College of Staten Island.".
