Aldborough was still not fully completed by 1798. The materials used to build Aldborough includes brick, and cut granite, that forms the facade. In 1813, Prof Von Feinagle leased it and opened it as a school. The house had an addition to it including large classrooms and a chapel. Prof Von Feiangle, died in 1820 and by 1830 it was closed. At the outbreak of the Crimean War, it was used as Barracks on acquisition of the Government. Later it was used as the Stores Department of the Post Office. It is currently empty. The responsibility of the house now lies with Bank of Ireland, to secure the future of the building.".
