The rally held ahead of the congress, which gathered around 5000 demonstrators, was addressed by B.N. Reddy, the chief commander of the Telangana armed struggle. The congress elected a control commission consisting of M.D. Gouse, N. Sudershan and Kirpal Singh Hans.V.B. Cherian died on 2 March 2013 and Lyallpuri died on 27 April 2013. M. Rajan, a PB Member. was elected as the Kerala State Secretary of MCPI(U).Kuldip Singh is the new general Secretary in place of Lyallpuri.".
