It has an orangey yellow body with purplish blue spots completed with a bright yellow tail. The spots are larger towards the tail, and the bottom part the rear of the fish gradually becomes purple. The spots also turn from blue to purple towards the tail. They are native to the Ogasawara Islands south of Japan.Little is known about this rare species. It does, however, have a certain reputation among saltwater aquarium keepers. The angelfish is notoriously hard to come by, and at the same time considered one of the most beautiful and durable of Centropyge angelfish. It adapts well to captivity, but because of its rarity, the few specimens that show up in captivity fetch prices in the thousands of dollars."@en }
