The tour started on April 14th, 1994 in the city of Leipzig, Germany and ended on October 12th, 1996. During their third performance on December 31st, 1994 in Saalfeld, Rammstein met their manager, Emanuel Fialik. During this period, Rammstein had 113 concert performances and almost always played every song recorded on their debut album Herzeleid, including some demos from their second album Sehnsucht, which was not released until 1997. During the Herzeleid tour, Rammstein was a very young band and was not as popular as today and had a much smaller budget. During this tour there were not nearly as many pyrotechnic effects that Rammstein is now known for today. A small flamethrower and a few explosions every now and then consisted of most of the pyrotechnics during 1994-1995. However in 1996, Rammstein was growing in popularity and was able to use much more creative special effects such as the flaming boots and bow and using much more fire in their shows, but still inadequate when compared to Rammstein today. The first major gig for Rammstein took place in 1996 in Berlin at the Treptow Arena (known as \"Die Arena\" in the fanbase). There was an audience of around 6,000 people and was professionally recorded and put on the tape 100 Jahre Rammstein that was given to the Rammstein fanclub in the same year. Performances of Herzeleid and Seemann were featured on the video compilation Lichtspielhaus."@en }
