The 69-acre (28 ha) property is locally significant as one of only two remaining farms in the town, with a history dating to 1808, when the farmhouse was built by Enoch Remick. The house, a 2-1/2 story L-shaped wood frame structure, is a well-preserved local example of Federal and Greek Revival styling, and is further significant for the artwork drawn on its walls. This art was done by John Avery, one of a small number of itinerant folk artists whose identity is known. The house and most of the land have been in the Remick family since the early 19th century, and are now owned by a family foundation.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996."@en }
