He played college football at Hampton University from 2003-06. He finished his collegiate career with 103 tackles, 19 passes defensed and eight interceptions.In 2007, Swinton became a defensive graduate assistant at Tennessee and would stay in that role all the way through the 2008 season. In 2015, he followed John Fox who was fired by the Broncos, to Chicago assigned to the same role, assistant special teams coach for the Chicago Bears. However, after the 2015 season, he was offered a higher position with the San Francisco 49ers by newly hired head coach Chip Kelly, to be the special teams coordinator and accepted on January 22, 2016."@en }
