He was then guided by his uncle Henry Benzelius in Lund University and was there in 1738 graduated to Master of Arts, after which he was a few years spent in England, France and Holland. In 1741 he became extraordinary and ordinary court-preacher in 1742. Between 1743–44, he made a new travels abroad, and dwelt especially in Helmstedt, where he made his disputation under the famous Johann Lorenz von Mosheim, and became an honorary doctor of theology. He was a member of parliament in 1778 and 1786 and in 1750 he was called to Lund University as professor of theology."@en }
