Pilipinas-International 2005 by previous year's winner, Margaret \"Ma-An\" Bayot.In terms of performance (for the first decade of the 21st century) in the international arena, the 2005 winners has been the most successful. Gionna Cabrera, though unplaced in Miss Universe 2005, managed to win two awards, Miss Photogenic (the first of a three-peat for the country) and the Thai Airways Silk Award. Carlene Aguilar managed to be a semi-finalist at Miss World 2005, continuing the country's streak since 2002.Precious Lara Quigaman, however, was the most successful. She managed to beat 51 candidates and capture the title of Miss International 2005, the first time since 1979. With her win she equaled Venezuela with the most wins at that particular pageant, though Venezuela has retained that title again after winning for the 5th time in 2006. Also, unlike in other national pageants such as Miss USA, Quigaman was able to keep her national title despite winning the international one."@en }
