Its orbit shows an eccentricity of 0.17 and is tilted by 7 degrees to the plane of the ecliptic. It has a rotation period of 4.4 hours and an albedo of 0.06, assumed by the Collaborative Asteroid Lightcurve Link (CALL).The minor planet was named in honour of Aleksandr Vasil'evich Filipenko (b. 1950), civil engineer at Khanty-Mansiysk, Siberia, and chairman of a charitable fund for the memory of Alexander Danilovich Menshikov (1673–1729)."@en }
