In addition, Campbell was awarded the Walkley Foundation's "Scoop of the Year" recognising the top story in Australian journalism in 2013. Prior to his career in journalism, Campbell worked as a Liberal staffer, advising Helen Shardey, the Victorian Shadow Minister for Health at the time.".
