He performed in the company of Wallack (1861–72) and Daly (1872–90), retired in 1890, and died in New York City. His best-known parts were Triplet in Masks and Faces, and Sir Peter Teazle, Jacques, and Graves in Money.Fisher died at his home in New York City on June 11, 1891, after a period of illness. He was survived by his second wife, the actress Josephine Bowen.".
