According to the 2010 census, the county has a total area of 182.85 square miles (473.6 km2), of which 178.65 square miles (462.7 km2) is land and 4.2 square miles (11 km2) is water. The major body of water is the Canoochee River, which flows through Evans County.Evans County lies on the coastal plain region of Georgia, an area consisting mostly of sedimentary rocks.
