The most important was Miss Universe 2000 where Lara Dutta of India won the title and was awarded as Miss Universe 2000. 79 delegates competed for the crown. The European Saporta Cup final in 1997 between Real Madrid and Verona, where Real Madrid won the trophy and the FIBA All Star Game in 2005 were held in that arena. It also hosted some Cypriot basketball finals for Championship and Cup.Also at 25th of October 2013 it hosted the first ever Euroleague game held in Cyprus.
