In series 2, Matthew Cottle assumed the role of another mosque manager, coincidentally named Dave (however not related to the Dave of series 1) The first episode, "Alia's College", was aired on Friday, 4 October 2013. A second series and a Christmas special, followed in 2013.On 2 December 2013, BBC controller Charlotte Moore announced that Citizen Khan had been renewed for a third series which began airing on 31 October 2014. On 11 December 2014, BBC comedy controller Shane Allen announced that a fourth series had been commissioned. On May 26 2015, Adil Ray announced on the Citizen Khan Facebook page that season 4 would be "out in October"."@en }
