The tenth season saw a slight increase in ratings compared to the past seasons of the series, which had the lowest ratings. The season premiered to a total of 6.29 million viewers, the lowest premiere numbers for any season. The season finale had a total of 7.63 million viewers, the third lowest rated finale. The series averaged 6.72 million viewers, making it the second lowest rated season of the series. Big Brother 10 featured a total of 13 HouseGuests, the first time there had been a decrease in the number of HouseGuests. The series ended after 71 days, in which HouseGuest Dan Gheesling was crowned the Winner, and Memphis Garrett the Runner-Up.Following their appearance on this season, numerous HouseGuests have appeared in various other editions of the series. HouseGuest Jessie Godderz returned to compete as a HouseGuest on Big Brother 11 the following year, coming in 9th place. Jessie would go on to make appearance in the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, and seventeenth seasons as a guest. HouseGuest Brian Hart was also a candidate to return for Big Brother 11, though his "clique" failed to win the first Head of Household competition and he did not enter the game. Winner Dan Gheesling also returned in Big Brother 11 to host a luxury competition. Dan later returned to Big Brother 14 in 2012 as a coach to new HouseGuests, though a twist in the game made him an official HouseGuest; he came in 2nd place and is currently the only houseguest to have made it into the final 2 twice."@en }
