It has been rebuilt since then, but the interior has suffered too much damage to allow for complete restoration.Even after restoration the interior could not be rebuilt to be more than a mere shell of what it used to be. The church was not left completely at the mercy of the War's bombing. Foresight and precaution had prevailed, and the sacrament house and numerous grave-slabs had been walled in to protect them in 1942.
