The Polytechnic currently awards the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Post Graduate Diploma ( PGD) and other professional certificates to its graduates. It also provides opportunities for creative development and research related to the needs of teaching, industry and the business community, particularly in its service area.In 1975-1976 sessions, The Polytechnic adopted the faculty system of structuring the academic departments, hitherto run solely on department basis.This was put in practice to make it easier for work co-ordination and management. At present, there are five faculties: engineering, science, environmental studies, finance, management studies, business and communication studies.By the amendment to the principal command of The Polytechnic which came into effect on 17 March 1987, four Satellite Campuses of the Polytechnic were created. They took off during 1981-1982 session and were situated at Eruwa, Saki, Iree and Esa-Oke. Each of the campuses is headed by a Director who is responsible to the Rector for the Administration and Discipline of the campus. However, with the creation of Osun State, the Campus at Iree and Esa-Oke have become the property of Osun State Government and are today known as Osun State Polytechnic Iree portal and Osun State College of Technology Esa-Oke.Student enrollment of the Institution is booming. At present, there are about 15,000 students in the Polytechnic, both at the main campus and the two Satellite Campuses. However, the Polytechnic of other Ibadan campuses such as Saki and Eruwa have been alienated from the institution, and the Saki campus has changed its name to Oke-Ogun Polytechnic while the Eruwa campus has changed its name to Ibarapa Polytechnic, Oyo state, Nigeria."@en }
