The Pioneer Trail with its cultural component, tells the story of the characters that have marked the Coaticook region of the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.Each character is represented in natural size in a corten steel panel cut to the image of his silhouette. Through an integrated audio device in the structure, the character speaks for five minutes in French and English for five minutes. The 20 characters tell their story and the impact they have had on the region through the milestones. Benches are installed on these facilities so that visitors can observe the dales, valleys and rivers of the typical landscape of the region. The panels are equipped with permanent locations.
