On October 7, 2015, the video reached over a billion views on YouTube, making it the very first hip-hop song to do so. "See You Again" was nominated for three Grammy Awards at the 58th ceremony: Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
