American Civil War redoubts, once part of the 1862 Peninsula Campaign defenses, have also been preserved. Two Civil War redoubts, known as the Skiffes Creek Line which formed the right flank of the Warwick River Line during the 1862 Peninsula Campaign have also been preserved.
