In 1993, he won first prize in the first annual BMI/Thelonious Monk Composer's Competition, adjudicated by Herbie Hancock. Zimmerli's music has been recorded on the Naxos, Nonesuch, Blue Note, Arabesque, Antilles and Naïve record labels."@en }
