At age 19, he made his comeback under his new stage name Nhật Sơn, not singing traditional anymore but Vietnamese POP-music.At the end of 2006 he recorded his first album Tôi vẫn hát (I still sing) which was released in January 2007.The composers were Nguyễn Nhất Huy and Hoài An; arrangements Lý Huỳnh Long and producer Winfried Povel from The Netherlands. For 3 of the 10 songs were made video clips by directors Đoàn Minh Tuấn and Lâm Lê Dũng, which were added on a DVD into this album.In the Live-show Tôi vẫn hát at Nhà Thi Đấu Nguyễn Du in HCMC he presented himself again to the audience. Director of the show was Lâm Lê Dũng who was one of the directors of Vietnam Idol as well. It was recorded on tape and broadcast on TV. A few months later the DVD of that show was released.In January 2008 followed his second album Vết tình. Composers: Đỗ Đình Phúc & Lý Huỳnh Long, with all the same musicians and same crew.In the meantime he was in many TV-shows like Quà tặng trái tim, Gặp Gỡ Ngôi Sao, Saigon Teen, Teen Pop, Thế Giới Âm Nhạc, Trò Chuyện Với Ngôi Sao, Nhịp Cầu Nghệ Sĩ and Sắc màu V-teen, for National (HTV - VTV) and Regional Television (BTV - DNTV - THVL), and he performed on the big stages of HCMC like Lan Anh, Không Tên and Trống Đồng. The last years he was performing as Cảnh Sơn as well when he sang traditional Cải lương music, together with his aunt Nghệ sĩ Bích Hạnh.Nhật Sơn was killed out of jealousy by his partner -with whom he lived together for 1 year- on the 14th of September 2013 in HCMC.After Nhật Sơns death his producer Winfried Povel started working again on the demo-tracks of the 3rd unfinished album Nhớ vô cùng and creates new videoclips for them, as a tribute to this Vietnamese singer."@en }
