Peace serves as Chairman of the Virginia Commission on Youth, Vice-chairman of the Virginia Indian Commemorative Commission, member of the Commonwealth's Council for Childhood Success, and is a member of the Virginia Bicentennial of the American War of 1812 Commission.Peace graduated from St. Christopher's School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hampden-Sydney College and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond. In 2005, Style Weekly magazine named Peace one of the “Top 40 Under 40.” He is an alumnus of Leadership Metro Richmond and University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
