The most likely cause for the lack of change is the cost involved in changing a school mascot.In 2014, the school's entire senior Reach for the Top team, who had made the regional finals earlier that year, and was also known as the "Nerd Team", graduated. This has led to a large hole in the school team that is believed to take up to 4 years to recover.
