In Japan, \"This Is the Right Time\" was released as a single on 3 October 1990. The song was commercially successful reaching number twelve in Canada, number thirteen in the United Kingdom, number seventeen in Germany, number twenty in Austria and number twenty-four in Italy. In the United States, it peaked at number twenty-one on the Billboard Hot 100, number one on the Hot Dance Club Songs and number thirteen on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In 2003, it was included on Biography: The Greatest Hits. In 2014, the remixes of \"This Is the Right Time\" were included on the deluxe 2CD + DVD re-release of Affection and on People Hold On ... The Remix Anthology (also on The Collection 1989–2003)."@en }
