It housed the langues of Auvergne and Provence until the building of a separate Auberge d'Auvergne and Auberge de Provence in Valletta in the 1570s and 1580s. It was originally two separate Auberges (with Auvergne on the right and Provence on the left) but these later joined and shared the same facade. The building was next to Auberge d'Aragon and Auberge de France and together, these Auberges formed a compact block. After the Second World War, the Auberge was divided into separate houses and a shop. A timber balcony was also added at this stage. Despite this, the interior of the Auberge remains mostly in its original state. The Auberge was listed as a Grade 1 national monument on 22 December 2009."@en }
