He was worker of Bajrang Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a close associate of Murli Manohar Joshi and Keshari Nath Tripathi of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP.The village name was chosen by the inhabiting Gautam gotra Saryupareen Brahmin inhabitants who follow Lord Vishnu. The village people also worship other Hindu deities such as Saraswati, Durga, Krishna, Lakshami, Hanuman, Parvati and Shiva. People of the village are referred to as Veyasi, Mishra Brahmins. People from Bishunpur Village avail educational opportunities at Allahabad University, Banaras Hindu University, Purvanchal University (India) and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. The agricultural productivity of the village is good, but it is hampered by the shortage of agricultural fields resulting in most inhabitants seeking employment elsewhere, noticeably in Allahabad, Mumbai and Delhi.
