It is a follow-up to her internationally successful album Saxobeats (2011). For this album, Stan collaborated with several record producers, including Sebastian Jacome, Chrishan Prince, Erik Lidbom and Gabriel Huiban.The music of Unlocked stems from the EDM and Dance-pop styles of her previous material while incorporating different forms of instrumentation from that on her previous releases, such as Bhangra and Caucasus. Its lyrical topics feature Stan's relationship with her unidentified boyfriend. Unlocked became mostly positive reviews from music critics, with them praising its songs as being "catchy" and "infectious". On the other hand, the record was also criticised for being "cearly influenced by" and "slavishly imitating" Britney Spears' Britney Jean album.After its release, Unlocked became a great commercial success in Japan, where it also debuted within the top-thirty on the Oricon Albums Chart. The album spawns a total of five released singles. Two tracks of Unlocked—"Cherry Pop" and "Dance"—debuted at number-one on the Japanese iTunes Singles chart. The album was heavily promoted during Stan's accompanying tours Unlocked Tour and Cherry Pop Summer Tour. There, she sung in Russia, Mexico, Japan and Turkey. During her tours, Stan also performed at the Girls Awards (Tokyo, Japan), Zip FM 21st-anniversary party (Nagoya, Japan) and Jolly Joker Club (Ankara, Turkey)."@en }
