Following the war Macpherson took over the family dairy farm and became involved with the politics of land use planning over concerns with encroaching urban development of farmland.Macpherson was the son of former Oregon state representative Hector Macpherson, Sr. (1875-1970) and the father of former Oregon state representative Greg Macpherson (born 1950)."@en }
