The first cancelled title was to be developed by Acclaim Studios Austin and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was planned to release for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in October 2004. It would star two characters: Cole Burns (a character from the comic), and Snow Falls, a character created for the video game and designed by Azzarello. Eduardo Risso (another figure involved in the comic) was responsible for the art direction. Key gameplay mechanics revealed include an auto-aim system that rewards players for patience, a "rage meter" that when full allows players to kill all enemies nearby, and the ability to use enemies as human shields. The game was cancelled following Acclaim's financial problems and closure in 2004.In 2007, D3 Publisher of America announced that it now had the rights to adapt the comic book into a video game and planned to build a new game from the ground up. It was slated for release on various consoles including the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, PlayStation portable, and Game Boy Advance. Azzarello noted that the project had died and D3 removed it from its list of games. Azzarello would later claim that the idea of a 100 Bullets video game was not a good idea. Both adaptations as well as the idea of a video game adaptation have received positive reception from the press. Acclaim Entertainment's demo was well received in particular."@en }
