On 16 August 2006, Rose Tattoo were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame. In 2011, Anderson was a vocal opponent of carbon tax legislation proposed by the federal government led by the Australian Labor Party and announced that he had joined the National Party.
