She earned her bachelors from Mills College, her master's from Columbia University in 1914, and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1923. Bishop would work at the Washington University School of Medicine starting in 1924 where she was associate professor of biochemistry, focusing on neuropsychiatry. She worked at the University of Missouri during World War I and University of Minnesota before and after her schooling. While attending the University of Wisconsin she met George Holman Bishop. They both worked at Washington University, with Ronzoni working in pharmacology. Ronzoni was described as having a "very mannish attitude" by Harry Agress, who worked with her at the Washington University School of Medicine. He attributed this "attitude" to her choice to wear men's slacks and cigarette smoking habits. Personality wise he called her "very pleasant." Ronzoni ran the chemistry lab at the Department of Medicine and Barnes Hospital before eventually moving into the neuropsychiatry department, where she managed the department lab. She retired in 1959. Ronzoni and Bishop lived in the historical William Long Log House, after the death of Ronzoni in 1975, the St. Louis County took over the home.As a researcher, Bishop's main focus was carbohydrate metabolism. She also researched amino acid metabolism, steroid hormones and muscle biochemistry."@en }
