The Ancient Church of the East became headquartered in Baghdad and headed by a separate Catholicos-Patriarch. Mar Thoma Darmo became the Church's first Catholicos-Patriarch (1968–1969). Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Addai II Giwargis became head of the church in 1970."@en }
